Since you are using an older version, this most likely does not apply to you. If anyone has experience with with this problem, or best case scenario knows how I can easily get the dxf's and dwg's from Inventor to my ancient computer running Coreldrawx7 without crashing, your assistance would be much appreciated.Īlso, as plasmanewbie pointed out, the result of importing your dxf to a more current version of CorelDraw will depend on the status of the "Auto-Reduce nodes" box. Also, every curve has a bunch of little pie cuts out of it. As in what should be a square, is 4 separate cuts, and i can't for the life of me get them to join. Then tried converting them to SVG's using a website, but the SVG's produced bad. So, I tried opening them up in inkscape, this doesn't work either. To get parts from 3D to 2D you just have to right click the face you want>export face as>choose dxf or dwg>save.īUT, I load these files on my usb, take it out to my plasma computer, and then when I try to open them up in coreldrawX7, I get "unrecoverable error" and everything crashes. Art not so much, but dimensional stuff, its great. I've been using autoCAD Inventor to create some assembly's because its so much easier for me to make parts.
